Receipts → your Drive and Sheets, automatically
Forward receipts and invoices to your catch address. ExpenseCatcher files each one in your Google Drive, reads the numbers, and logs a row in your Google Sheet. No app, nothing to migrate.
Works with
How it works
Call it “Acme invoices” or “Travel”. You get a private address like acme-invoices-k7q2m9xw4r@inbox.expensecatcher.com.
By hand, or with a Gmail or Outlook rule so receipts forward themselves. PDFs, photos and plain email receipts all work.
Renamed to something searchable in your Drive folder, with vendor, date, total and tax added as a row in your sheet.
Catchers
Every catcher starts by saving to Drive and logging to your sheet. Then chain on what your books need — one catcher per client, card or project.
Save to a Drive folder
Renamed from what was read, sorted into year or month folders.
Log to a Google Sheet
One row per receipt, any sheet and tab you pick.
Only continue if…
The sender, vendor or amount matches what you set.
Forward to an email
Your accountant, or your Xero or QuickBooks inbox.
Email me a summary
What was caught and where it went.
Send to a webhook
For Zapier, Make, or your own code.
Why ExpenseCatcher
Most expense apps keep receipts in their system. Here the files and the sheet are yours from the first catch — cancel and nothing moves.
ExpenseCatcher can only touch files it creates and files you pick. It cannot read the rest of your Drive — Google’s consent screen says so.
If you can forward an email, you can use it. Your accountant gets a Google Sheet, not another login.
Freelancers
One catcher for business costs, one for anything you bill back to clients.
Small teams
A catcher per card or department, all logging into one shared sheet.
Bookkeepers
A catcher per client, each filing into that client’s own Drive folder.
Pricing
A catch is one forwarded email processed by a catcher. Every plan includes AI reading, Drive and Sheets.
Try it on your own receipts
$0/ month
For freelancers and side businesses

For small teams with real volume

FAQ
Anything with a receipt in it: PDF invoices, photos of paper receipts, and receipt emails with no attachment at all (Uber, Amazon, app stores). Each one is read by AI to pull out the vendor, date, total, tax and category.
Your Drive and your sheet hold the real copy. We keep the original file and the extracted fields so you can see each catch and correct it — corrections are written back to your sheet. Delete your account and we delete that too; what is in your Drive stays yours.
Only the “drive.file” permission: access to files ExpenseCatcher creates and files you pick yourself in Google’s file picker. We cannot see or search the rest of your Drive. You can check this on the Google consent screen and revoke it any time.
A small automation with its own email address. Everything sent to that address runs through the catcher’s steps — save to Drive, log to a sheet, then anything you chain on, like forwarding invoices over a certain amount to your accountant.
In Gmail, add your catch address as a forwarding address and create a filter for messages from your vendors or with words like “receipt” or “invoice”. We confirm Gmail’s verification email for you. Outlook rules work the same way.
One forwarded email processed by a catcher. The Free plan includes 3 a month — enough to see it work on your own receipts. Filtered emails and test catches don’t count.
Two minutes to set up. Free for your first 3 catches every month.
